Tapers Note:
The setlist wasn't as strong as Tulsa, which saw Raised by Wolves and Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses dropped. There was a bit of a screw-up by Bono during Acrobat, but expected considering this was a song only played live for the second time ever, and the near start of the tour. But the performance for other songs, such as The Blackout and American Soul were outstanding.

Thank you to all those in the U2 taping community who have given me advice and tips on recording. This is my first attempt at recording and mixing an IEM/audience matrix, and there is lots of room for improvement. I had issues with the battery connected to the Naiant microphone preamp for my audience recording, which caused interference, and a lot of work to remove the noise. This resulted in a degraded audience recording. The crew feeds were connected to Bono and Edge’s microphones, so they stand out. However, the band was less pronounced, which consequently led to more muted music in between tracks. You'll catch a few times where the crew speak or voice counts, but I tried my best to attenuate those moments. There are certainly benchmark, high quality matrix recordings from the past I hope to emulate one day. Hope to improve my recordings over time.

GA Joe mp3 release - It is MONO. It is a very low bitrate. It is super quiet. Larry's prominent snare drum part in Sunday Bloody Sunday is entirely absent from this mix. The intro of Elevation, which is studio recording they join into, is missing.The Edge's vocals are overly prominent throughout. Gavin's new version of HMTMKMKM as the intermission is a background blur. The vocal prominence actually works in 13, but it takes patience to listen through to the final song. As the notes admit, "there is lots of room for improvement", just not from this mp3 rendering.

Overall

Two stars because they dropped from the setlist after the first night the two songs I most wanted them to keep - Song For Someone and Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses. They also dropped Raised By Wolves. I don't understand why writing a review of a recording requires the other fields. Given the mix of the recording i listened to it is utterly impossible to review audience engagement.
