Performance notes: Heavy rain leaks through the roof of the circus tent U2 are using as a venue. Due to the moisture Edge's guitars are out of tune and the keyboards completely malfunction during The Unforgettable Fire. U2 rush through 40 to end the night after being told the PA might explode from water damage. Setlist and comment provided by U2gigs.com.

Bono sounds a bit weird at the start of 'Tick Tock' and messes up the words on the first line - the song is otherwise pretty good. The falsetto sounds flawless. The Edge either already tests his guitar for tuning or teases the audience with the opening chord of 'I Will Follow' before going into the song which causes the crowd to erupt. Bono sounds great throughout. 'Wire' is the first new song to be played and is a great rendition with a quite powerful Bono nailing good stuff throughout.
The Edge again starts checking his instruments but everything goes smoothly during 'MLK'. While 'The Unforgettable Fire' does get off to a nice start, the heavy rain finally gets to the band and completely thrashes the keyboards, leading to absolute chaos and confusion within the band and it's a miracle they didn't decide to just end it early. 'Surrender' also starts off with some technical issues but goes by smoothly enough - Bono sounds great and adds a 'Gloria' snippet as he had done at the previous shows.
'Two Hearts' is called 'Two Hearts Beat in Paris' according to Bono - he struggles with the song unfortunately. The vocal harmonies are still fantastic throughout; The Edge clearly still struggles with his guitar(s) due to the rain. Bono improvs a new song about rain during the song's breakdown. 'Seconds' is a typically great performance. 'A Sort of Homecoming' now interrupts the 'War' quadruple - and again seems to have gone better than the last show! How is this possible? 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' is a very aggressive performance with great belts by Bono, some sloppy musicianship and great crowd participation. The reprise is filled with the instruments acting up.
'The Cry' sounds great with a few extra "What for" adlibs, 'The Electric Co.' follows with lots of energy and the same snippets as the last show. The solo features many unique licks and parts - after the snippet section, Bono starts a lecture about what the song is about, around which Edge plays a few bum notes. Overall a great version though! 'Bad' begins with a lyric flub and is your typical early performance without snippets and Bono struggling his way through the song.
'October' is solid. The transition into 'New Year's Day' is quite sloppy and Edge keeps having trouble with his guitar throughout the show and the set by now. Bono sounds incredible though - apart from dying on "torn in two". 'Pride' is a good performance to end off the main set - Bono again improvises a new song in the end
'Party Girl' quite messy. Bono holds another long speech about the media twisting his words - let the music speak! 'Gloria' sounds great and is full of energy. Bono lets the crowd take over a few times and they DELIVER! Edge's guitar goes out of tune BADLY.
Sound
Quite solid AUD for the early to mid 80s with a clear sound of the band and the audience alike. The sound is a bit distant nonetheless. Recording: Audience microphone - 4 stars
Audience
Pretty great crowd. They're singing along passionately as early as the first number and only gets better from there! Even the heavy rain and the technical issues it's causing does not take away any of their energy.
Overall
Highlights: Wire, A Sort of Homecoming, The Cry / The Electric Co., Glo-
Lowlights: The Unforgettable Fire, Bad, -ria
