Performance

A good early Joshua Tree performance from the band, with everyone finally settling into the tour. The music that is played on stage is tight and has no noticeable mistakes at all. Bono's voice is in pretty good shape here, sounding much better than the 1st night of the tour in Tempe. He can get through the whole set without much problems, although some higher notes, such as the "wide awake" notes on Bad and some of the highs on Pride, still give him some trouble, he always pulls out "maybe the time is right" during New Year's Day which was nice to hear.

Overall

A very good early show from the Joshua Tree tour, with the band finally settling into the tour and Bono's voice being mostly in fine shape throughout. The setlist is pretty standard, minus including a cover of Bob Dylan's I Shall Be Released. However, despite that, this show is something that I enjoyed more than I thought I would initially and is a good sign for the next couple of shows on the tour.

Highlights:
Where The Streets Have No Name
The Unforgettable Fire
Bullet The Blue Sky
Running To Stand Still
Exit
New Year's Day
I Shall Be Released
