1989-12-26 - Dublin, Ireland - Point Depot

setlist

Comments: The verse Bono sings at the end of One Tree Hill is completely improvised; it is not a snippet. Part of a William Wordsworth poem is read at the start of Where The Streets Have No Name in tribute to the recently deceased Irish poet Samuel Beckett. This show features the first use of God Part II as an opener - the only other time it takes this role is on 5 January 1990 in Rotterdam.

Performance

Like all the U2 concerts at the end of 1989 in Dublin this one is very good!

Sound

The audio is good but is not from 1989-12-26 Dublin but is from 1989-12-27 Dublin!

EDIT by moderator: the audio is definitely from the 26th.

Recording: "X-mas At Point Depot" - 5 stars

Audience

The crowd of a U2 concert in Dublin is always good

Overall

This is a beautiful concert and one of the best that U2 ever made
