Performance

Brilliant show, great performance. Everyone sounded great - especially BB King!!

Sound

Very good sound quality.
Recording: "Pride Vol. 3 & Pride Vol. 4" - 4.5 stars

Audience

Nothing like those 80s crowds.

Overall

Very strong show!! Dirty Old Town at the end of RTSS always gets me. God Part II is excellent, Edge really shines on the outro. On the Road as an intro to Streets is breathtaking. It’s always great to hear One Tree Hill, though it’s not quite as intense as the performance on the 26th. Van Diemen’s Land is strong and goes right into the lovely surprise of Out of Control! New Year’s Day is one of those few warhorses that never gets old, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint here. She’s a Mystery To Me opens the encore in suitable fashion with its live debut. When Love Comes To Town is great, especially BB King’s ‘cure for the blues’ part. Of course we get the legendary ‘dream it all up again’ speech at the start of Love Rescue Me, which is as usual a treat. Then another surprise - 11 O’Clock Tick Tock! Granted, it isn’t as intense as its early 80s performances but it’s still lovely to hear. A very lovely rendition of With or Without You closes the show.

My only complaint here is that the version I have downloaded has a brief pause between tracks, which I find irritating. Overall, an outstanding performance but personally I prefer the shows on the 26th and 27th.

- God Part II
- All Along the Watchtower
