    The prices now are ridiculous I agree. 500 - 900 for loge and balcony and I even see 'verified reselling' seats now for 1400,- That is indeed shit. pardon my french.

  4. I didn't even look at the better seats. Went for mid-week show because I knew there would be less demand.. and got tickets really quickly (was probably done with my purchase by 10:05.. paid for two tickets $211 and change. I wish we had closer seats but I figured not a bad price actually and this is a small theater so maybe the seats will be fine.

    I waited it out until just a week before the Chicago show and then bought two tickets for just $95 each. I think if you're able to hold off for a while they will likely drop for these NYC shows, too.

    Did the same for the Berlin show. Thought all the tickets were sold out, however after my Coldplay experience last year, I learned, that TicketMaster gives tickets 1-5 days before the concert for the face value. So I was checiking the Berlin show like every day and then 3 days before the show there were dozens of tickets avaiable for the face value.
  7. I was able to get two in row F of the Loge level for $160 each in the U2.com presale.
    Just had a quick look earlier today, and seats two rows in front of our seats are 'platinum' seats for $500 or so each. Oof. Glad the pre-sale worked or we would certainly not be going.

    It’s heavily reliant on the material in the book but it works very well. The Pavarotti part for example is a straight lift but acted out in a much more humorous way than it is written .

    I have yet to tackle the audiobook. I read the book and saw the show days apart so I didn’t fancy going straight into the audiobook.
  10. Worth downloading the SanFrancisco show. It is broken up into many tracks so you can sample a few without spoiling the show should you just want to get a feel for it.

    Oh man I think you'll love the audiobook, too. I didn't finish listening/reading until after I saw the show in Chicago but hearing more of the Songs of Surrender arrangements at the start of each chapter, plus hearing Bono tell more stories than he could include in the show (especially from the 90s) was excellent.
