1. We have a new You Too poll, you can vote for this new poll on the frontpage and discuss it in this thread.

The question of this new You Too is:

You Too: What are your U2 expectations for 2024?
    - More Vegas shows
    - A new album
    - A new album and world tour
    - No new music and no tour
  2. Wouldn't surprise me if they did more Vegas shows.
  3. *The Vegas residency extended in the early part of the year (will Larry make a triumphant return?)

*New album late summer or autumn/winter (it'll be a seven year gap not counting SOS for new material)
  4. More Vegas shows (unfortunately)
  5. I'm thinking they will play no shows and release no new music. We'll get various tidbits during the year that they are working on new music but that's it.
    Just being realistic!
  6. No new music and no tour
realistically and sadly, I think that is what U2 in 2024 means.

(and that will probably als mean more Vegas shows... but I am not going to waste my time or thoughts on that GIANT UTTER mistake... )
  7. My greatest wish: they realize it's all unravelling and make the decision to go into the studio together with Eno and Lanois for one last monster push. They abandon all desire to be relevant or write "songs" and let go into the music. They make the most epic old guy record ever, somehow totally deconstructing the U2 sound one last time and discovering a way to express pure spirit through almost-nothingness, taking as their inspiration the fade out of Love is Blindness.
  8. The more Vegas shows that get announced, the sadder it becomes. It’s no longer just “opening a cool venue”. It’s a legitimate Vegas residency. The end
  9. I don't expect anything but more Vegas would be disappointment.
Let Larry get back to the shape then release album and tour. Doesn't have to be 2024...

Fuck yeah! And tour that album with no screen or whatever (like the ‘97 Tibet concert). Just the music, band in fire. In advance it would be nice they show up summer ‘24

I might be wrong but I have a feeling that is exactly what Songs of Ascent is supposed to be (at least that’s what I hope it is)…
