Broken Things is really good.Its nice to hear Boyd again on some studio tunes.Sweet is a really solid tune,as is If Only.Rooftop is really good,solid beat,I cant wait to hear live.
Belly Belly Nice and The Riff I just love,and I heard them live months ago.The studio versions just jump out at you,so much energy there.
Drunken Soldier is wild.Im very impressed with this release.
Nothing like a good pair of headphones,a new DMB release and a bottle of red to chill with....

I didn't know where else to post this.....but I thought I should share it....
I'm in lower Manhattan (where I live) at the 9/11 memorial....11 YEARS have passed since the worst attack in American history.....they say time heals.......well....I'm not healed.....
let us NEVER FORGET what happened on that day......3000 innocent souls were taken from us ....murdered for going to work....murdered for being Husbands,Wives,Mothers,Fathers,Sons,Daughters.....all murdered.......Im still in shock.
My 7 year old daughter asked me this question,this morning,as I walked her to school "Why did those bad people do that to us Daddy ?" ....all I could say,after a few minutes..."I don't know...........I don't know"
Eleven years, and really, it only seems like yesterday that millions of us were watching the events unfold in front of us on TV. I hope that al those visiting the memorial today can feel peace at the site where many loved ones were lost.
The new album Away from the World is really great.Im so glad they got back with Steve Lillywhite.I bought the super deluxe,the live dvd is fantastic,and sounds great (10 trax),plus the summer sampler (8 trax),and 3 live trax on the main disc..21 live trax in all,thats alot of great live stuff.

Album release party setlist, from last night at the Hollywood Bowl...8 trax off AFTW...solid gig....
Even with physical sales of Compact Discs way down from the numbers even a few years ago, the Dave Matthews Band managed their 6th straight #1 album, with Away From The World selling over 270,000 copies in its first week of sales.
The streak goes back to Before These Crowded Streets (with Crash debuting at #2 thanks to that pesky Hootie, and his alleged Blowfish). DMB stands alone now with 6 straight #1's.
The album is still getting very positive praise, except from a few shmos that either are just spiteful or like trolling. If you still haven't picked up a copy, quit lolly-gagging and go buy one!
I believe DMB are the only artist to accomplish this....

N2 was insane..I was in GA both nights,but I was able to move in real close last night.Jimi Thing was wild,Carlos Malta was the guest,top version at least 20 min I believe...Warehouse > Halloween > Tripping Billies was crazy in the pit....
