As much as I would love for Melbourne to have 4 shows I can't see it happening, Etihad should hold at least 80,000 people. I think 3 shows may struggle to sell out.

u2.com has only stated that there will be a pre-sale but no info yet but you can also join mylivenation and be part of the pre-sale starting September 1 according to the ticketmaster website and prices are between 39.90 and 349.50.

Say there are more shows added, are there normally a few days of notice or is it just like on the 3rd if a show sells out fast they just add it pretty shortly?

Also does u2.com members get first go at the extra shows as well? thanks

For the Vertigo tour in '06, the second shows went on sale about a week after the first shows, and u2.com members got first go at the extra shows in north america if the presale codes hadn't already been used on the first shows but they was a lot less time between the announcement and the ticket sale times if I remember correctly from the emails.

And just announced on 7pm project Jay-Z will be supporting them

Thanks for the Livenation site. I am gonna check it out. 349...where does that get you as opposed to the 99 dollar ones? I wanna be close in GA if I can.

i would only guess that the $349 ones are level 2 at etihad, they are always the most expensive there no matter what the event. GA is $99 definitely the way to go

Live Nation Global Touring and Michael Coppel have today confirmed that JAY Z will join U2 as the very special guest for dates in New Zealand and Australia. The U2 360° Tour will visit Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth.

With hits such as 99 Problems, Empire State of Mind and Dirt Off Your Shoulder, and ten Grammy awards, JAY Z is one of the most successful artists of all time. His last record Blueprint 3 was one of the biggest selling records of 2010, and was JAY Z’s 11th Number 1 album - putting him ahead of Elvis for most Number 1 albums by any solo artist. JAY Z last played Australia in 2006 and he has never played in New Zealand.

U2 and JAY Z performed Sunday Bloody Sunday in front of Brandenburg Gate, Berlin in November 2009.
The U2 360° Tour kicked off it’s second European leg in Turin, Italy this month and will visit 17 cities, including Moscow and Istanbul, before finishing at the Olympic Stadium in Rome on 8th October. By the time it reaches New Zealand and Australia, U2 360° will have been seen by over 4 million fans in 2009 - 2010.
