1. Initially I thought Magnificent was the stand out track on the album but the more I listened the more I got in to Unknown Caller and when paired with Unforghettbale Fire it was incredible, definitely the best live one for me for the new LP. Moment of Surrender is a cracking song but doesn't work for me right at the end and would better leading in to another song. The opening four songs were great but to me sounded exactly like the album versions apart from the new improved Boots with a better intro.
  2. It's a close call between MOS and NLOTH
    GREAT music!
  3. got to be NLOTH, it rocks live.
  4. I really like GOYB and NLOTH. Both songs, for me, are the best live perfomances on this tour.
  5. Unknown Caller
    Moment of Surrender
    Get On Your Boots
    Magnificent
    Breathe
    No Line On The Horizon
    Crazy
  6. Well, Unknown Caller is fantastic live , Breathe and Magnificent are about on par, but NLOTH doesn't quite match studio versions, Crazy Tonight is a different song entirely and Get On Your Boots is somewhat improved (no "sexy boots!').

But I think MoS is the song that has most improved in the transition from album to live, the sound is much fuller, the singing is less ragged but still powerful, and it makes for a fantastic closer.

  7. Concur entirely. I like both studio versions a lot, but the live renditions are another level above.
  8. Originally posted by germcevoy:No Line is probably my favorite U2 live song ever. It just grabs me in, deep bass, the rhythm, the vocal, the crowd taking up the oh oh oh, the quiet 'every night I, have the same dream', the stop and then the traffic cop part. Love it.

I hope they try it as an opener at least once

i hope so to. i remember seeing an encore setlist rehearsal with
    No Line
    Elevation
    One
    Crazy Tonight
    MOS.
  9. Don't make No Line an opener... Breathe gets the show underway very well and NLOTH fills the same positon as The Fly during Zoo TV. It just works this way, as an opener people forget the song too soon.
  10. Ok, so what's the best performance of NLOTH so far? Any Youtube vids?
