  2. stunning job again noiseless. Cannot praise enough. Amazing that songs like Heaven and Hell are just gone
  3. Awesome albumart, Max!! That really ROCKS, you're an amazing photoshoper!!!

  4. It seems some of the links are outdated, I'll upload a fresh set again as soon as I find the time while at my work (at home I have slow upload speeds). Maybe tomorrow, maybe Friday. I'll provide fresh links in the first post of this thread and will try to maintain them.

Or you can try the Traders' Den http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=73835

A while ago, I made edited/remixed versions of the Salomé Outtakes, combining parts from different tracks in an effort to make the whole thing a little "easier" to listen to. I think some tracks turned out really well (especially "Doctor, Doctor" and "She's Gonna Turn Your Head Around"), and some have almost no modifications (for example, I removed Bono's stuttering from "Sweet Baby Jane"). I used to have cover art for it, but I seem to have lost it :/

Anyway, I'd love to get some feedback on this!

    The tracklist is as follows:
    1. Got to Get Together Now
    2. Where Did It All Go Wrong?
    3. Doctor, Doctor
    4. She's Gonna Turn Your Head Around
    5. Sweet Baby Jane
    6. Jitterbug Baby
    7. Caledonia (Morning Child)
    8. I Feel Free
    9. Heaven and Hell
    10. Sunset in Colors
    11. Take You Down
    12. Take Today

    And here's the link:

ROFLOL. I'm okay with posting, and no, you're not stealing anyone's thunder.
Not to be rude, but please listen to the original posted version before adding another version. If you would have done so, you would have known you've posted a serious downgrade.
I am anything but a coxcomb, I am not a professional and I always welcome upgrades over my versions. But if upgrading it should be a real upgrade and this clearly isn't.
The version I shared here was mastered adequately. No skips, no glitches, properly EQ'd and phase corrected. Now you added a version that's basically the same as the original silvers with supposedly some repaired skips, but still pretty unlistenable as it has still one channel phase reversed and poor EQ'ing. It can't be considered being an upgrade in my opinion, hardly to the original silvers and especially not to the version provided in this thread.
Again I don't want to be rude. Like everyone, I appreciate the effort and often hard work that's needed to upgrade bootlegs. But I think it's basically not appropriate to present something as an upgrade without having heard what you're upgrading.

    cheers

  5. Let's say that's clear..

lol, what I posted was definitely NOT an upgrade Actually, it's wasn't meant to be an upgrade... just a different glance at the original outtakes (more like cut-and-paste editing). I did not use your version of the outtakes, and I definitely wasn't aiming at high sound quality.

My intention was not to say that your remastering was inadequate in any way (quite the contrary actually, it sounds really good), just to provide a different version of the original outtakes (like many remixes and edits done by U2 fans). I see now that here wasn't the place to do it, and I apologize for the intrusion.

Anyway, I removed my original post. Hope I didn't offend anyone.
  7. I was a little harsh, sorry for that. It really doesn´t bother me what people post and in what thread, it´s not my business. I just sometimes think lots of versions of the same material are confusing but well who am I.

You edited the tracks, so you have some editing software like Audition. You might find this helpful: open your tracks, select left channel only, then hit "inverse phase". You'll be surprised how much better it sounds.

    Cheers
  8. Cover seems to be offline... any chance of a reup?
  9. This is a gem. I encourage everyone who might not have it to download it. The rapidshare links are still active too
  10. Yeah, it is pretty good for a bunch of outtakes (if solely for the Lady with the Spinning Head demo - the solo on that is fantastic).

Though, I was wondering why it doesn't include 'Laughing in the face of Love" which is probably the best demo from the sessions ( that wasn't finished and released as a song)

Because this is a "personal" compilation made by Noiseless, he explains it very well in the description:

    http://www.u2start.com/torrents/details/253//

From the 36 songs I took the more or less complete songs only, and out of the various takes of the same song I picked the one or two that I liked most.
