1. Electric Co / Raised By Wolves from 19m10s on:

Their snippets are unreal. Check this out, from 2m15 on:

And just to stay on topic... Iris from the show I went to:

  2. these guys need their own topic. He sings the new stuff better than Bono.
  3. Damn Id love to check these guys out live but it doesn't look like they play th US
  4. I'd be at their show in a heartbeat if they did play the US
  5. Unfortunately yes...

The Miracle was even an overall better band-performance...
  6. They promised me to come back in 2015... You're all welcome, you have a place to stay at Sergio's As long as you don't sing Song For Someone or California too loud, we'll be fine!

By the way, at the end of their show last week it was the singer who asked me to take a photo with me, instead of the standard other way round. It was truly bizarre.
  7. Just can't stand those guys that are trying to look like guys from U2 :/
  8. ME TOO, OMG I LOVE U2!!

BUT THEY ARE REAL FANS THOUGH TOO..
  9. Originally posted by bpt3:This came up in the Crystal Ballroom topic in comparing that song with Iris, but anybody else feel like Iris is Ultraviolet 2.0, musically at least? Same kind of haunting introduction, upbeat tempo, similar guitar by Edge in spots, two different "choruses" (the "hold me close" and "Iris" parts vs. the "baby, baby light my way" and "ultraviolet"), a dramatic bridge and outro...

I am maybe just overthinking it, but to me they share similar sounds and structure...probably why I love Iris so much?

I agree with you 100%! I immediately thought of the same thing first time I heard Iris. I don't mind them being similiar to my ear, actually the other way around. UV is one of my favorites and Iris being similiar makes me like both songs even more.

Sometimes I think (when listening to Iris) that Bono would sing the "Ultraviolet" chant instead of the chant of Iris.
  10. Totally! I also was scrolling back through the thread and found this right after the album was released 3 months ago:

This is all giving me visions of Bono singing this song with a laser jacket on...
  11. On an unrelated note, wouldn't it be interesting if the band decided to use elements from Films of Innocence as part of the visuals during the songs?

I say that here because Iris has got one of the best of the films because it actually feels like it accompanies the song. Raise by Wolves is pretty good too.
  12. Yeah, it was discussed before, someone suggested that FOI might actually be most of the visuals to be seen on the screens. I agree, some of the vids are pretty good and can be a good companion for the songs played live - maybe mixed with live footage too. Specially Cedarwood Road, Raised By Wolves and, yes, Iris.
