Sounds plausible. Eventually, they will break up, I guess. Maybe they've been to a very rough period after NLOTH? It would seem very odd for them to break up around this time.

Last part when Edge and larry kick in defintely reminds me of Mercy

The new song sounds pretty good, but am I the only one that's a little nervous about them debuting it live? I'm afraid that if the song doesn't get the reaction they're hoping for they might lose confidence in it and go back to the drawing board yet again and push the album back even further.

I know everyone here is stoked to hear new stuff, but in general, people prefer to hear songs they already know at live shows so they can sing along and stuff. The chances of a new song getting an overwhelming reaction when played mostly for people who have never heard it are never great. Especially in this setting (a stadium tour for the 30th anniversary of one of there most revered albums), there's going to be a pretty big portion of casual fans in attendance that aren't going to care about hearing a new song. And the crowd was clearly way more into the main set than the last couple songs. But that's just the nature of doing something like this. That doesn't mean it's not a good song.

I don't know, it just seems like U2 get spooked easily if they don't think something they do is going to be the biggest thing in the world and it makes them take forever in finishing their records. And I sometimes feel like they're almost looking for any reason to start retooling stuff again.

We'll see. It didn't take them long to realize it doesn't quite work as a closer, so that's a good thing. It's a great song, and while I get what they were trying to do, it doesn't belong in closing slot. Hopefully now that they've realized that they won't give up on it, but shuffle it around in the encore until they find a comfortable spot. I think it would also be stronger if they didn't pair it with Miss Sarajevo...

It still reminds me to something else which I still haven't been able to put my finger on yet.
I FINALLY could put my finger on what the vocal line of the second part of The Little Things reminded me of, after humming and humming and humming it for days while mentally going over the whole U2 catalogue... It seems like I didn't have to look into U2's catalogue after all

Tell me if you agree: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B01p4oKNjvIVbDl4emJYYjk5Y0U

Now that I've found it, it is so obvious... It almost hurts that it took me so long to find out.
  4. Still think there's another track that's closer, just cant think what it it.

    Omg Sergio
  6. When Edge first starts kicking in with his guitar playing, it reminds me of the intro to CoBL.

It's not unlike DITD at all Sergio, good catch. Probably less of a hook and slower tempo though. It also reminds me of AIWIY in structure a little bit with its slow buildup verse-chorus up to a crescendo / climax where Edge sounds like he's gonna get the song airbourne.
  7. Can't see this baby being the success that DITD was though !!!
  8. Maybe the song is about earlier when they wanted to break up?! SOI was about the early dates, if SOE is about the 90's then it could be about after RAH and they were about to break up, I don't know.

It's unlikely but I like your take on it.
