1. Hahaha, well played.

    Problem is as follows:

Lady With The Spinning Head was a great song that gave birth to two even greater songs (The Fly + Ultraviolet).

Glastonbury was a forgettable song that gave birth to two forgettable songs (Volcano + American Soul).

Before bashing me for stating the obvious, try to imagine how many fans worldwide rank Ultraviolet and The Fly among, let's say, U2's best 25 songs... And now try to imagine how many fans worldwide will rank Volcano and American Soul among U2's best 25 songs.

You forgot parts of Lady also became Zoo Station. But anyway, of course there's a (big) difference in quality, although I think AS is not especially forgettable (Glastonbury and Volcano are). The point I was trying to make is that they did this before, as Edge says: songs are just released, they are never finished.
  4. I find it odd that everyone always says Spinning Head became The Fly, Ultraviolet, and a bit of Zoo Station when the main riff is the exact same as Until The End of the World albeit with a different rhythm/timing to it. Seems way more obvious to me, but maybe I'm wrong

I never got the Zoo Station similarity and YES you're definitely right about UTEOTW's riff. That's probably Bill Flanagan or BP Fallon or someone from their surroundings messing up with the titles while interviewing them and then the whole U2 camp being confused for decades
  7. Ultraviolet lost its power on the JT17 tour, they shouldnt play it on the upcoming tour

Me neither (about Zoo Station) - I just say it because everyone else does lmao. And you're probably right haha.

    True, back to it.

I love Ultraviolet and I miss the guitar part Edge would play during the bridge of the ZooTV performances.
  9. "Ultraviolet" is a very weird way to spell "Bono".
