1. I'm not too worried about this one. I think one of those videos about the songs from around December, Edge pretty much said that they were planning on playing it. Don't recall which one though...

Anyway, yeah, it'd be a real bummer if this one was skipped live but I think Summer of Love is more likely to be left out than Red Flag Day.
  2. This is one of my favorites on the album - great old school U2 feel to it with a modern touch. Deceptively deep and interesting lyrics.

I absolutely think this song should have been one of the ‘singles’ used to launch the album - it’s 1000x better than AS.

I will be sorely disappointed if they don’t make this a E&I tour staple!

I'm with you. This song has grown on me immensely. I mean, I liked it right from the beginning, but it's one of my go-to songs from SOE at the moment. At first, I just thought it was cool, throwback kind of song to the "War" era, but lyrically and musically I'm appreciating it so much more now. When Bono belts out "baby, it's a red flag day" right before the bridge, during Edge's backing vocals part = one of the highlights on the album for me.

    Come to think of it...
    6. Summer of Love
    7. Red Flag Day
    8. The Showman (this one has grown on me huge, too).
    9. Little Things
    10. Landlady
...might be one of my favorite run of songs on any U2 album ever.

agree, it has become my absolute favourite of this record. Such an amazing tune.
  5. This song got a bit more special for me
  6. absolutely, feel the same. gotta belt it out tomorrow.
  7. When Bono next belts that chorus things are going to go off!
  8. I've got a feeling they might keep this one as a regular this leg. Doing so would likely kill any chance for setlist variation but this song I think deserves a regular spot!
  9. Interesting...
