1. As much as I hope that’s not the case, that sounds kinda plausible.
    Spoiler (click to toggle)
Then again, they took the JT30 tour and worked it into something fresh and relevant, so… anything’s possible, I guess.
  2. They’ll get this part of the world done and then they can go and reset for the next cycle.
  3. (If there is one)

But yeah, sounds like the final Popmart leg which was added halfway through the tour and kind of closed that whole 90's madness cycle.
  4. I think we are not in any cycle at the moment.
  5. Please no cycling

They did? News to me, and I did 20+ JT30 shows.
  7. I’m not sure what I’d like to see from a tour this year. I can’t really see them retaining much from the last two albums and we are only two years on from JT30 so will they want to break that out again after saying in 2018 that they were done with it in 2017? God knows.
  8. I'm guessing at a greatest hits tour with one or two new songs thrown in guaranteed way of selling out gigs ,I can't see them doing another JT tour it would be way too much of a step back and if they are bringing out DVD's of the last 2 tours this year they will need a completely new approach .I honestly don't think they wanted to do the JT tour in 2017 Bono even quoted his own song at Zane Lowe during a Beats interview "Glorify the past when the future dries up"but due to Bono's health issues and SOE put on ice they might not have had much of a choice as they were probably committed to touring that year.

E&I was just as much about old songs as JT was... Acrobat and a couple of added AB/Zooropa songs saved the tour... there is nothing wrong with playing old tunes that are still as enjoyable as ever.. I don't think you should call that 'glorifying the past'. It's just playing your best songs.
  10. From the opening rehearsal day I knew the closing encore of Miss Syria and Little Things would tank.

But do they listen to me?

As far as Miss Syria is concerned, I was happy to catch my breath for a moment

...still a bit of a bummer I didn't catch The Little Things ...

But, yeah, all I do is glorifying U2's past...
Can't wait for a greatest hits tour
