That's why I appreciate artists like Springsteen and Counting Crows who let you download a recording of a show a few weeks after, warts and all. They're not precious about it not being their best performance or that they screwed up in places. Like the bootlegs here, these recordings are more authentic.
  2. The Springsteen fans have 2 official live recordings for this weekend. Lucky bastards. I think also the band is afraid in making shows available. In half year we have only 6 songs available for us. A big shame
  3. Why I love LiveMetallica.com they have live recordings almost immediately. I love U2 I just wish they could do the same thing
  4. Yes Bruce Springsteen does the same 👍
  5. I wonder if anyone has any knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes with these gifts. Like a rough timeline of what happens when and how long each part of the process takes. Other bands seem to have been a lot quicker at releasing live material so what are the reasons it takes longer with u2, can it really be a perfectionist thing about mastering the tracks etc or is it more to do with the people involved only being available for a limited amount of time and therefore it pushes everything back.
  6. I know this is off topic but those Bruce shows they released today are essential and must haves for any fans of his live shows.

As far as U2 goes, maybe by fall we will get the information about the gift.

How is the remixed version of the New Years Eve show? I have the original one was wondering if the sound quality was that big of an upgrade.
  8. Big improvement. Well worth getting. Like listening to a whole new show.
  9. Listening now! Just the beginning of Night is so much more powerful! A real treat from Springsteen!
  10. Yep! If only U2 would follow suit...
