1. I've grown to really like Grace. There's some nice drumming going on in the background, an enjoyable bassline, and thoughtful (albeit not Bono's best) lyrics.
  2. The concept of Grace is worth enduring that track.
  3. Levitate would have been a nice uptempo track to lift up the solemn mood of the second half of All That You Can't Leave Behind. I recall Adam saying that Wild Honey is lighter tune to prevent listeners "from jumping out of the window" after Kite and In a Little While. I think Wild Honey keeps the listener on the ledge but Peace on Earth into When I Look at the World makes them want to dive head first. New York is an epic, up-tempo rock song with a great beat and brilliant lyrics but Grace just begs the listener to jump into the hole and pour dirt over themselves.. Levitate could have worked in the ATYCLB second half tracklist...somewhere,,, Cheers!
  4. I would take Flower Child over Wild Honey.

Look at the most rated comment on the Stateless video:

  6. Stateless is 10 times better than Levitate.
  7. Absolutely, but Levitate is still better than some of the tracks that ended up making it into the album.
  8. Wild Honey should be an outtake and Levitate on the actual CD
  9. I dont get all the hate on Grace, its one of my favourites on the album. And yes Levitate should be on the album, Staleless not, I dont really like it.
  10. Is Stateless even “U2”
  11. Bono wrote the lyrics and u2 wrote the music so yes. I usually defend Grace and I don’t think it’s anywhere near as bad as others suggest but levitate or stateless would have improved the album over grace imo. More so levitate because it hadn’t been released, having stateless and ground beneath her feet on the album when they were already on the million dollar hotel soundtrack would maybe have been 1 song too many from that for the main album.
