Cool pic And indeed a great show (Is that the one with a full band '40 as closer?)
  2. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeep One of the best moments I've ever lived at a U2 show. I was thoroughly enjoying Bad (my first time hearing it live), and getting the 40 snippet was already the icing on the cake for me... But when I saw Adam and Edge swap places I just couldn't believe it.

And we also got the first and only outing of a NLOTH song after the 360 tour finished!

  3. Funny that 3/11/15 London was one of my best shows (top3) and even audience was amazing - and we were on high seats!

    My first show.

The sped up magnificent? Loved that, that was a disco stomper
  6. Agreed. Not the best remix/reinvention of a song they've ever done but it was SO nice and fresh to get a once-in-a-tour song
  7. 4th night in Chicago in 2015. Think it was 2015-06-29. Live debut of Crystal Ballroom so just point me toward the gallows, but whatever. I thought it was really lame. Band was flat most of the night, to me.

The one saving grace was that I got to tick Sweetest Thing off the list and even that was a ramshackle performance, nowhere near the invested vibe of the Elevation tour versions. When Sweetest Thing is what pops you out of your seat, U2 might not be having the best night. Or maybe it was just me!

Oh and they made us sing happy birthday to John Cusack who I also remember Bono referencing during 2009-09-13. I know Bono calls this shit out from time to time but why does it seem like every time I go see U2 in Chicago I'm going to hear about a mostly irrelevant actor?
  8. U2 never did a bad show.
Even when I attended one with only 1000 people in the house.

If something goes wrong, its probably a broken amp or a guitar chord.
    LOL

I was at the 7/2/15 Chicago show, and I thought it was really good, probably in my top 5. But yeah, if they’re gonna play sweetest thing, play it for real. Don’t make it a b-stage fuck off song. That song was actually a big-ish hit in the US, a lot of people know it.

I was also at 9/13/09 Chicago. I just remember having a holy shit moment when they started playing “Your blue room”. Still can’t believe that happened!
  10. Popmart Chicago - 6/27/97 - The only U2 show I've been to where the audience sat down mid show. The following show saw a set list shake up.

Totally. I went to all 5 on the I&E run and that 4th night was the only one that I couldn’t find the pep in. First two nights were wild, third night had Gloria, and the final night was one of the best they’ve had.

On 360, I totally thought we were going to get Electrical Storm, that they’d try it again in the states. Even as YBR was starting I was trying to place it to Electrical Storm.
