  1. The YouTube stream? If you're on Mac it's really easy. Download the video as mp4, open it in QuickTime and then click on edit > extract audio.

  4. Yeah saw Sydney while ago on TV an had to say I forgot how great One was on Zoo TV. If compare recent live versions - those sound pretty bland

    Yep. The band really felt the song in 92-93, while in later years it was the audience who felt it.
  6. That’s what makes the Slane performance so special though. You could tell how much it meant to Bono that night. He needed the song that night more than the fans did.

    Slane was the last true great U2 concert where the focus was solely on the band and performance now your attention is absorbed by the big screens and all the arty imagery that distracts the audience and leads to a more muted response and is more akin to a broad way show than a Rock concert .I really hope going forward that they go back to a more stripped back production as that was always their biggest strength even during the Zoo TV and Popmart tours the best reaction they got is when they performed on the B stage if you look at Zoo TV from Sydney the audience response goes up a level when they play Angel of Harlem and Stay .Willie Williams said at the time of Zoo TV when a television is switched on in a room everyone goes silent why they wanted that affect at a Rock concert was a strange idea 💡
