    It’s true. I obviously think I will follow is a great song. However, I get sick of it popping up on nearly every single live show I listen to!!

    PopMart: 340,771
    U2ieTour: 207,608

    The last one was taken down at around 49.5 hours, the others had stayed up longer before being taken down. But it wasn't picking up many viewers at the end...I don't think even with another 10 hours that it would have beaten Red Rocks.

    During the premieres, when you could see viewership totals?
    Slane maxed out at around 20,000 viewers, Red Rocks was the lowest watched 'live' maxing out at around 8,000 viewers, PopMart had about 14,200 viewers 'live' at the peak and U2ieTour had about 11,300 viewers live at the peak.

    Just over 1.25 million views across the four shows. Not bad considering that it had almost all been material we've seen before.

    Very interesting figures Thanks a lot for collecting the data Aaron.

    I wonder how different it would have been if any of the other 3 was the first to be streamed instead of Slane. I'm pretty sure being the first of the series had some impact on the number of views. I'm still (favourably) surprised at the high number of views of these streams, I didn't expect such figures considering it's materal most of us fans have watched a thousand times already, and also was widely available on Youtube uploaded by other fans... I also wonder how many of the viewers were first time viewers - for me it's actually hard to fathom that someone hasn't watched Red Rocks or Slane I mean, what have they been doing with their lives?!

    I don't like the versions of One since Vertigo. But if it's played well, than it's fine with me. And i didn't really miss WOW in EI. I did miss Streets though.

    Oh come on, you’ve been around here long enough Everyone will be minding their own business and then @DutchU2Fan will say he’s never heard Streets. Even in the build up these being streamed there were members saying they’ve never seen these. It’s typically the younger crowd though. They didn’t even know how to operate the VHS player man.

    @LikeASong first page.
  6. "never heard Streets" cracked me up

    Yeah well I guess these videos, specially the two I mentioned (Slane and Red Rocks) have been an integral part of my life since I was a kid so I tend to think everyone has them embedded in their brains just as me
  7. When you look at they numbers though and you think about the number of fans that actually pay to see the band live on tours I don’t think the virtual tour can be seen as much of a success. I think a previously unreleased show would have got twice as much as the 4 shows view counts put together. I’m glad to have got 3 free upgrades (no upgrade on Paris compared to blu Ray) but it still has lacked that excitement. I miss the likes of staying up til stupid o’clock to tune in to the rose bowl show, that’s the closest I’ve felt watching a gig to actually being at a gig because of the excitement of seeing something new, live as it was happening.

    Decent figures but I'm surprised that Paris came in at the lowest compared to the others. I wonder how many of those viewers were unique viewers or the same viewers watching the different shows.

    I think it can be deemed a success. They received 1.25m viewers (although its not known how many of those are unique) and thats pretty good seeing how there's a lot more competition for online entertainment nowadays.
