Well, the FTSD version is poor anyways so I'd much rather have them release something (even if it's partial) from the actual Zoo TV tour. They must have recorded some rehearsals where Bono sung it - if not the whole versions they played in Aug and Sept 92.
Rehearsals would be a good compromise in this case. We obviously haven’t heard the 2 more complete versions but if it’s just Bono on acoustic as it states then the rehearsals are probably better anyway.

This version in good quality would be great

Is that with the last Operatic UV vocal outro?
  3. I don't see them releasing a rehearsal version. The one CD approach doesn't allow them to to play multiple arrangements of songs from over the years.

I don’t think it will be multiple arrangements I think they could use a rehearsal version and nothing else for so cruel.
  5. They wouldn’t ever use a rehearsal version on a Cd imo
  6. They have already in the past. A sort of homecoming on wide awake in America.
  7. The live version of ASOH is a rehearsal ??

Edit: it is wow I never realized the crowd was mixed in after, but idk I just feel like the band want whatever they release to be perfect and has a rehearsal been released since then?

Stay was a rehearsal on the E&I dvd, well most of it. Rehearsals can be perfect as well.
  9. Eh never seen that dvd, I think they can be in our mind but like a rehearsal or anything from 92-93 I think for whatever reason the band (I.e. Bono and the edge) are super particular about what they think sounds good enough to release.

At least that’s my reasoning as to why we don’t have band released bootlegs like PJ or something
  10. Sometimes rehearsal are great. Nothing against it. Oasis released their rehearsal of I Am the Walrus as a b-side on the Cigarettes & Alcohol single in 1994 since it was such a great version. They wrongly labeled it Live at the Glasgow Cathouse in June '94 but it was a rehearsal for their Gleneagles gig in 1994.

Larry's Bass playing on the title track Zooropa was recorded during a rehearsal.
