    Not at all, everything he said in that interview he’s said before. Well the stuff that seems to be getting the negative press anyway. He said a while back he didn’t like the name because of the pun in its name you too. He’s mentioned before about not liking his voice particularly in the 80’s but that the band were still great. There’s no big revelations really. He’s always been very positive about vertigo and Miss Sarajevo has been mentioned as one of his favourite u2 songs in the past.

  5. I don’t agree with that. I think he was just being honest. He doesn’t like the name and he doesn’t like his 80’s singing. Big deal. A lot of actors don’t watch their movies, some probably don’t even like movies their involved in.

    Agreed. Nothing really new here to regular U2 watchers.
  7. In the past, he’s referred to his Boy voice as ‘girly’ and affected and almost fake English accented mimicking Bowie. In U2 by U2 he speaks of his War voice/singing as poor or strained. It’s quite characteristic of Irish people to be self deprecating. Not convinced it’s anything as calculated as Mike Scott is suggesting.

    He may well think that but he knows saying it in interviews will get headlines and soundbites ,Bono knows the media game very well this brings focus onto their new song from Sing 2 and whatever else they release in the upcoming year .
  9. I never understood why U2.com don't sell new copies of the concert DVDs, or at least have them available to purchase on digital services. The reason why they constantly reissue Vinyls in Record shops is because how can you sell them if they're not in stock? That should apply to the DVDs too.

    If they don't want to go through the hassle of producing physical copies of these films again, then they should make them available on demand as a perk of subscribing to U2.com.

    If a new fan were to come along now, where are they expected to watch the likes of Sydney, Mexico, 360, Vertigo, Elevation etc? U2.com should be selling these, or even better, selling the upscaled HD versions!

  12. I just heard that they are going to sell Nirvana NFTs and this drives me mad. I'm sure Kurt Cobain would've hated this. They're pushing NFTs in video games, and now music.
    Do you think we will see U2 NFTs soon? Instead of an AB tour, some never-seen AB era photos as NFTs? NFTs as the next subscription gift?
