That’s the biggest mistake of your life? Wow, I’m surprised at that. I’am pretty obsessive about the band’s music, I wouldn’t hide that. I love their music and seeing them play live and I get excited about news but I also know which news to filter out, pretty much all I listen to now is u2songs and I keep an eye on U2.com as well although they usually just end up posting info after u2songs have already told us about it. My long replies are simply to explain all the different parts to my points, no point not explaining or backing up something. Doesn’t mean I’m affected.

    Yes daddy, you’re unaffectable

Well u2songs shared the news and you claimed there was no news which was incorrect. And your realistic timeline is less realistic than u2songs because again you don’t have a source to back it up. Doesn’t mean you can’t share it but if you’re going to question the reliability of u2songs rumours then you should have something to back that up. And again shows you know nothing about me, earliest I’ve turned up for a gig is when gates open, certainly not wasting my time queuing all day when I can be enjoying myself pre gig and still get a great view and hear the music just as well.

  4. That was posted by someone else in reply to our posts and it was apparently an April Fools joke. The first letter of every paragraph in the press release spells out “April Fools”.

But I’m confused as to why this was then added to the end of the article (as it was so clearly an awesome April fools joke):

"Update: Date on article has been changed, as people are suggesting it is not a real story because of the date it was posted."

this is just gonna confuse the people who believed it yesterday!

The POP25 thing was an April Fools joke. The person who put it together has admitted to it. It had nothing to do with U2Songs in any way. Except he replied on our news posts yesterday trying to get a wider audience for his POP25 prank. Which confused a lot of people.

U2Songs did not participate in any April Fools joke this year. In any way. Nor did our post yesterday come from any information that was shared with is yesterday.

Any song titles shared for SOS?
  8. That pop 25 release would-be the thing…
  9. A few quick thoughts:

    1) It would be good for U2's egos (and therefore for us) if they were able to land a major hit with a reworked song, sort of like Sweetest Thing which really put them back on the map for many non diehards after Pop.

    2) If the full reworked album is finished and delivered, given that SOE is now 4 1/2 years old, it's too bad they're waiting until the fall to put something out. I know, holiday sales, but still...

    3) Which leads to this: Why plan to release a 'new' album so quickly after SOS in 'early 2023'? Doesn't make sense to me to have two major marketing campaigns in such a short timeframe.
