1. Although they can simply make the lyrics change while singing it live
  2. There was another verse with a boy (refugee) washed up on an empty beach
  3. This type of reworks would be awesome
  4. Agree completely. I would love something like what Jools Holland has done here, which takes one of their lesser-recognized songs and makes it new. Anything that shows innovation and inspiration. I’d be less enthused about an album of remixes of familiar songs.

I mean, Bono's vocals in that Velvet Dress version are on another level. Bono's vocals today are just normal
  6. Miss Sarajevo only with Bono would be interesting to see
  7. Peace on Earth could be reworked? I am aware there was a rehearsal back in 2001 where it included a very good guitar solo
  8. This is incredible. Words can't express how much I love this song ♥

And yes, if the reworked versions go along this line, with orchestra, horns, a completely different instrumentation and arrangements, then I think the album can be a success.

Man that could’ve sounded so good if they just would’ve worked out the kinks a little more!!

Edge's solo starts around 6:20 when they start fiddling around and Bono asks "solo over the chorus". It's far from being a "very good solo" like Juandi suggested, but it's a nice take.

My favorite part of this rehearsal is Bono saying that Edge's guitar was too distorted for the first chorus (he was right!) and asking for something more subtle. Correcting the "tone master" on the spot

We're extremely off topic now, but there's a limit to how much one can guess about an album that hasn't been announced
