But I’m 100% doubtful of a June start. The crew would need to be available for rehearsals etc ahead of the tour starting. And there’s been zero leaks about summer dates. The only one that suggested a summer date was the Dublin stadium one, and that’s pretty much been shot down.
But for the jt 2019 there are some rumors few months before announcement. At this time I think the possible tour start in September in USA and 2024 for europe

So tell us who was the source of the leaks we had basically a number of venues announced, 2 albums and a Vegas residency all revealed within a week by this so called reliable mole then it gets all dismissed .

    Lmao getting cranky over rumours?
  4. I'm getting cranky over the fact that U2 have not been a band in any kind of public way over the last 3 years, with the exception of 1 song.
  5. The so called reliable sources have been feeding the media and fans a load of BS to get attention for their websites.

A song that I wish was never released.

  7. I don't think any U2 album is awful. I will agree the last 2 are among the weakest of a incredible run of albums. I think SOI comes closest. And if nothing else the "Songs Of" series is getting to be a worn out theme. As I've said before, Songs Of Ignorance is about the only other one I can think of. SOE to me is much better, though it is flawed by starting out with Auto Tune. They may as well have had Young Thug, Lil Thug, Lil Wayne, Lil Kim, Lil Flip Phone, etc as featured artists. But songs like Red Flag Day, Little Things, The Showman, and Landlady all had their moments. The only disturbing thing about this series is the continued ability to leave off some of the best material as bonus tracks: EBW acoustic is miles beyond the begging to be a hit pandering for young ears version on the album. Crystal Ballroom, Lucifer's Pizza, and most of all...Book Of Your Heart all should be album tracks.

Getting back on topic: Yes, they are rumors, but the rumors have been making the rounds, and including this from Nevada Public Radio:

  8. Am I weird that I like SOI and SOE?

I really connected with SOI in a very deep and strong way upon it's release. I liked SOE, except I find the Best Thing/GOOYOW/American Soul trio to be the low point of the album, and possibly their career.

I absolutely love SOI but loathe SOE hahah

No. SOI is regarded as some sort of late career masterpiece by many around here, while I am about the only one among the regulars here who counts it as their worst album. It doesn't mean I hate it. I remember getting a good laugh when the Apple guy who I suppose had replaced Steve Jobs say "What A Great Single!" after they played the disappointment of Joey Ramone. Not really such a bad song, but the lead single for at the time, the biggest band in the world? I like SOE much much better, but admit that America's Glastonbury Soul Volcano and the 13th Song For Someone showed an incredible lack of creativity. I wonder if Songs Of Ignorance will have U2 covering themselves some more? Hopefully not another version of those 2 songs. I find the lack of creativity astounding for a group as talented as U2. Especially considering that in late November, it will be only 3 albums in 18 years.

Tour rumors? I start the rumor that they play the Orlando area for the first time since 1983, which was when I knew them from Red Rocks on MTV, but did not like them. I probably sat through Red Rocks due to boredom, and the fact that it looked awesome with the steam/fog/pizza. Maybe they will play the dump they somehow played on the war tour:

It was a Jai Alai "arena" dump of sorts. Jai Alai is a pretty much defunct hockey like sport where they had some gambling exemption in the state and in many areas in the south.

Not weird that you like SOI, I do also, SOI is in my top 3 U2 records. SOE on the otherhand is at the bottom, an uninspired and sleep-inducing U2 record, with the exception of Little things and Book of your heart. SOE and the tour caused a long U2 break for me.
