1. I would say that his falsettos on 360 tour in 2009 was amazing
  2. Yes, but substantially different to the falsetto he's portrayed in the SOS shows
  3. Listen to the 6:14 to 6:28, those two "Child" are very close to the deep falsetto sound he had on ZooTv I think it is that type of falsetto you're referring to
I have listend to the SOS shows on BD and the falsetto is nice but not as good as the 360 falsetto.

  4. I know everyone is bummed about the delayed SOS album, but with the state of Bono’s current voice and some of these new arrangements from the SOS tour (looking at With Or Without You), I’m hopeful that some re-recording is going on and is the reason behind the delay.
  5. As the physical product is already produced (as far as I know) I doubt it. It's a timing/marketing issue.
  6. I think Bono's voice still sounds good. I don't think he'll ever sound this bad

There is no re-recording going on. Currently it takes upwards of 12 months to get vinyl pressed. If you don’t get in the queue early your project doesn’t reach shops in time. If they want to re-record things at this point the earliest an album would come out physically would be the end of next year.
  8. Gotta say that from what I heard from the book tour (the SF show specifically) I honestly think that he sings better than he's done in 25 years.. So much tone (and falsetto) is back, this is easily early-mid 90's level, if not better in some places. Wondering what took place here
  9. I'd wager that he's been listening to some experts and kind of retraining his singing voice..not straining and pushing too hard, I guess maximizing what he's got..he is sounding good. He's lucky to still have the ability he has, compared to some others who are still attempting to "sing." Jon Bon Jovi đź‘€

To me his falsetto on this solo tour isn't as good as on ZooTV and 360.
I think he had a much deeper fuller falsetto on 360 Tour, but it was at its prime on ZooTV.

But his voice in general is very good now, it feels like he contunie have this more operatic sound in his voice like he had on Stay from E&I 2018.
The way he sings WOWY is very good.
He started to get more tone in his voice in 2014/2015 and Im glad that he still got it now on the solo tour.
There is something more "singing" in his voice
  11. Guess it's a combination of factors. Lockdown rest, maybe singing lessons/training and the new arragements really help him 'carry the songs' instead of having to sing along so to say. The way he does Pride for example is impressive (even though the high B is done by a backing singer and 'later 84 Bono).
  12. He sounds fantastic on this recent gig with Antytila (singing starts at around 4:53)
