    What happened to all the songs they were working in from 2019-present? Such a frustrating band to be a fan of! Why can’t they just give us a new album/EP now, and then tour when they can? The concerts will still sell out regardless of a new album or not. They’re stuck in the album/tour cycle

    How are they supposed to make a lot of progress on an album of new music when their drummer is out of commission?

    Fans should know better by now than to believe Bono or Edge when they talk about having songs done. Adam and Larry are always very honest and blunt- Adam recently having said they don’t have much to work with yet. This is a band who will scrap albums at the last moment because they wanted radio hits. 2025 is a best case scenario, it could be longer than that. Meanwhile they supposedly have Ascent finished after 13 years but they don’t want to release it. I call BS, Ascent isn’t anywhere closed to finish and it’s probably why Adam is now saying Ascent+rock album might end becoming the same record.
