One of a stash of 61 tapes which my buddy Tim collected in 1985-87 which I rescued from a house he used to live in on Heath Street.
This is Heath St. Tape #3, which I was going to wait to upload, but with the demise of EZT, I figured I should upload it to U2Torrents.com since I had it already digitized. Like my version of the Worcester show, this is cut at the end, presumably on the original vinyl it seems to be sourced from. I'm sorry that "40" again is lost, and I'm sure completists will not be happy, but I really love these two mid-April 1985 shows I have. I have labeled the tracks as Side A/B, both of which are about 42 or 43 mins long. Too long for 1 cd, but you can burn it with filler if you'd like.
My favorite song of all time is "Bad" and this has a 15:00 version, which rivals Live Aid in length, but has more tags- Norwegian Wood among them. I guess I'm backwards, but I'm young enough that my Beatles comes directly from Bono. Sacrilege, I know, but I liked Kraftwerk and Gary Numan as a kid. It wasn't until my 20s that I began to appreciate the songwriting of the Beatles.
Normally I like listing all the tags and snippets, but all I have to say is Kool & the Gang! Have fun digging all the references here. I'm posting an MP3 sample of "The Unforgettable Fire" so you can judge the sound, but for a 20-yr old tape, I find it quite listenable. If my Worcester tape is a 7.5, this is about a 6.8-7.0, with brighter vocals but more wobble and a bit of flutter. When I digitize and split tracks, I do so through headphones, so I may be a little harsh on the source tape.
Please share freely, try not to trade it in MP3, and I would love to hear more of this 4th UF Leg, if you have some to share. I think I have 3 or 4 shows of the run, which is about 25 in all. I really like these shows a lot, great setlist, and even if the sets did not vary too much, the performances were very individual.
