Występ

A mostly good rain-themed performance from the band during the European leg of Popmart. The band are mostly tight throughout the performance. However, The Edge does have a couple of problems and mistakes during the show, most noticeably during Until The End Of The World, where his guitar has issues, which causes the transition into New Year's Day to be non-existent at this show which, results in Bono has to count down to start the song instead. The other mistake is a minor flub during the start of Discotheque. Other than these issues, though, the performance was solid.

Bono also sounds good at this show. While he has a few rough moments, sometimes he offers a good performance overall with his snippeting abilities, throwing in a couple of rain-themed snippets throughout the set and sometimes changing lyrics to reference the rain.

Overall, a mostly solid show that is above average for the tour, while there are a few mistakes, with the biggest offender being Until The End Of The World and some other minor ones, such as a clunker on New Year's Day and the flubbed guitar on the start of Discotheque occur the show is still mostly good with the rain-themed snippets and good vocal performance from Bono being highlights. Certain songs here are also worth noting, such as Staring At The Sun and Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me being fantastic versions, Discotheque, including the extended Whole Lotta Love snippet like the show in Werchter from a couple of days prior and the closing song of the show which is a cover of The Beatles' Rain.
