Absolutely hated that they played Vertigo twice during the Vertigo tour! Felt it was lazy considering the backlog of songs they excluded.
Personally, my least favourite show was Belfast 1997. The sound was ropey, the stage was higher than other venues and the band seemed nervous. Dublin a few days later was much much better.
For the record I loved Dublin in 2017 and couldn’t believe how good the performances of BD, Elevation and Vertigo were (three songs I can take it or leave it).

That’s what it comes down to really so uk dates will always be summer. Brussels was in September though back in 2010 and that was dark. September in the UK would probably be pushing it weather wise. Just looking back there and they did play Edinburgh in September for Popmart 2nd September to be precise so right at the beginning of the month.

September would be fine, I think.
The Police played at Croke Park and the Millennium Stadium in early to mid-October on their reunion tour. Croke in October would be cutting it fine imo but Cardiff with the roof closed would be fine

Was it setlist? Atmosphere? The idea of an anniversary tour?

I'll admit that my attitude towards the JT30 tour was negative from the very moment it was announced so I was prone to get disappointed Also I made a big deal of the Dublin gig, being the only show of the tour I could afford going to and being my first U2 Dublin gig (and after having missed Dub3 in 2015 in dramatic circumstances and last minute), so everything "had to be perfect"... And it wasn't.
The America snippet was just the icing on the cake of the fact that they weren't playing ASOH instead of Bad.
Then came RTSS which is a favorite of mine and was a big disappointment, then came Little Things as the closer (when they could have closed with I Will Follow) and everything just added up and up... to rank it as the worst U2 show I've seen. Originally posted by LikeASong:[..]
First they piss me off by not playing A Sort Of Homecoming at their freaking HOMECOMING GIG, and then they put the nail in the coffin by singing the America snippet (which he hadn't sung in Bad since the tour left... well, America) instead of the great Heroes snippet. So wrong
Is it a big deal? No, it's just a drop in an ocean.
Does it mean it was a bad show overall? No, I'm sure thousands left the stadium really satisfied.
I'm very sad to reckon I didn't. I didn't imagine I would leave the almost-sacred Croke Park after my first U2 Irish gig feeling disappointed, but I did. Why should I not speak about it openly? I'm not one of those who bashes the band just for the sake of it. I'll gladly admit that 2 of the 4 2018 shows I saw by the same band are among the best live shows I've ever seen. Dublin 2017 was just not.
As Gerard said I'm really surprised that you didn't attend the show and still try to fight back when some of us (who did attend it) say it was a bit disappointing

While I was happy to hear side 2 of the Joshua Tree, and I was thrilled that for once they actually came close(ish) to my area, I was not really a big fan of JT17 overall. I didn't think it made for a good flowing concert.
