Comments: The Ocean is played for the first time in over 22 years. At the time, this was the longest gap between performances in U2 song history; it was beaten on 25 November 2010 when Scarlet was played for the first time in over 29 years. Setlist and comment provided by U2gigs.com.

CAVEAT: I'll be completely honest and tell you that I am not a consumer of U2's music. The reason I want that clear is to let you know that I am not familiar with their material (other than the radio "hits") and that it is possible that there could be some small error with the tracking or that the splitting of discs wasn't really where it should be. I just wanted you all aware of that so you could make your own choices of disc splitting or perhaps you want to go through the tracks and make sure they are as they should be, and if not, have the opportunity to fix it with your software.
I DO know that there is a huge interest in live U2 shows and "Josephine" and I wanted to share this with all you fans because from what we could see from various places online and at the Staples Center, you're a damned fine bunch! Hope you enjoy the show.
Thanks to "Josephine" for getting the taping job done and to http://www.u2setlists.com/vertigo.shtml for the set list.

Notes: Thanks to BLG for the gear loan and Marie "Slim" Browning for help getting gear in/blocking.
Big thanks to the awful sound in Staples, the yelpers, those that wouldn't shut up, and f*cktards that hit the taper in the head about 10 times during the show for making this possible.
Never pay for or sell live recordings. Trade them freely.

"Steve had a great way of pulling the best out of everybody. Nothing was a hassle, the sessions were very positive. I think it was particularly great for Adam and Larry to work with somebody who was able to understand that we were not incredible musicians. We did what we did."
- The Edge on recording U2's first album with Steve Lillywhite

The song Stranger In A Strange Land is about U2 being a rock band but not living like a rock band.
