More than a year has passed since the show, but still I feel like I want to share my experience. Musically, it was a really strong performance. The SOE songs sound really good live, so I enjoyed them a lot. The Blackout along with the visuals is a strong song for show opener, but for me, Lights of Home was the highlight of the 2 opening songs. Band performed great, Edge's guitar in Zoo Station is unbelievable! Great performance overall, Bono amazed me with his singing in Stay & Wild Horses. Larry plays the drums with such passion, it's remarkable. Bono was also really funny on the e-stage during some issues with his wire and made us laugh; I really enjoyed this moment.

I was on the stands on the second tier with my best friend (his 1st U2 show & first concert experience in general) and it makes me sad to admit that I was a little disappointed. I was the only one who stood up for The Blackout and it just made me feel awkward. Same thing happened for many songs, I had to constantly look at the person behind me to make sure they're okay with me being all crazy. The fans only stood up for a few songs. It was really weird, because I know Dutch fans are amazing and in 2015 I had seen a lot of Ziggo Dome footage and they all seemed to be standing up & more into the concert experience. Maybe they enjoyed the 2015 shows more? Who knows. However, Bono had a good communication with the audience, mentioning the fact that the Netherlands gave U2 their first hit & during his wire - fixing issue on the e-stage he made us laugh a lot. So, on the stands, where I was seated, things were a little flat. However, fans on the GA seemed to have a great time!
4.5 stars! It's a U2 show in Amsterdam, a city I adore. I went with my best friend, which was one of my dreams as a U2 fan. Day started awesome, I got to meet Bono and we chatted for like a minute, it was just perfect. I really enjoyed the show, because the SOE songs sound amazing live & because Achtung Baby is my favorite album and we got a lot of that! Also, I finally got to hear New Year's Day live! Visuals were great, I was in a great mood, the show had a nice flow, but I really missed Streets! Sound in Ziggo Dome is perfect, so that was great. The fact that I shared this experience with my best friend made this show so much better. I was so happy I got to listen to my band two nights in a row and really they still seem to be loving what they do. My rating is 4.5 stars, only because there were times when I felt awkward when people around me were not as into the show as I was & that was a little weird sometimes for me.

Contacting the taper quickly led to a nice conversation in which was decicided
upon a 16-bit version of this excellent recording with some additional mastering.
I used the 24-bit version that was shared on u2torrents instead of the raw master,
mainly for practical reasons. The Wavelab 6 "normalization" only added some
amplitude (without clipping), so no qualitive change had been made.
"De-clicking" with the iZotope RX05 was done very smoothly and only a handful of
whistles were removed ("Spectral Repair").
