19-"40"
Of the three gigs the esteemed Brother KM recorded in
the spring of 1987, this one would rank third in terms
of sound quality, though in listening again today I am
impressed with 1) the bass response of the cheap, little
Aiwa mic and 2) the passion and enthusiasm of the very
vocal crowd.
Unlike the night before, there are no notable cuts here
though the very beginning of "Maggie's Farm" and "40" are
clipped on the master as they are here. In all, a pretty
darn good recording from those heady early days of the
Joshua Tree tour considering he was sitting two-thirds
of the way back.
