  2. Jesus. This is quickly on its way to becoming the first album of theirs to actively make me want to avoid a tour.

    I’ve been front row for multiple shows, been a fan for two decades, and just…no. Why. No.

    Especially if there’s no Larry, but that’s another matter entirely. This album is just dull and soulless.
  3. I can’t wait for this bullshit to be behind us. But at the same time, at their age, anything can happen. It’s a very scary and depressing thought that this could be their last phase at any moment. I can’t imagine how much time was wasted producing these 40 songs. I’m still
    In shock that this band re recorded 40 songs and are now doing a Vegas residency. It’s just so not what the band I fell in love with would do. But here we are.

    I felt the same when the JT rehash tour kept getting extended. Seems as though we are stuck with this to the end now though. Glorify your past, when your future dries up. So sad.

    So did you have an issue with the band playing eight nights at Madison Square Garden in the middle of the innocence and experience tour? Because that’s only for shows less than this.. this also isn’t a casino, it’s an arena built for concerts

    How is this even the same thing though? That was at the end of an actual tour no? Of course I didn’t have an issue with all the multiple night stands they did in big cities during that worldwide tour.
  9. To be fair, based on reports, it does sound like they've been making new music on top of Songs of Surrender and the book. It's a risk, like any other music they make or produce. I'm not defending it by any means, but I do think we've got to give this album more of a chance. It's a one off, I can't see them playing too many of the songs live in that arrangement either.

    It wasn’t at the end of the tour, they just did 8 nights. They also did 5 in LA. I feel like it’s the definition of hypocritical, any shows in a row outside of Vegas are fine. But in Las Vegas.. “embarrassing residency..” please…

    It’s a residency. It’s only taking place in Vegas. It’s not during a tour. How is that hypocritical? You can disagree but don’t tell me it’s the same thing.
  12. All kinds of acts and artists do residencies nowadays. It's not the "old and washed up blah blah" taboo thing like it used to be
