1. A friend of mine who knows someone who knows the head of U2's security said that the security team is contracted for an arena tour for 2013-2014. Who knows, sounds plausible. Im pretty sure Bono has already mentioned briefly the possibility of them doing arena's next time around
  2. I hope they take a nice long break without working on any "serious" album-related stuff. Honestly. After the thrill ride of the 360 Tour, the band deserves some time to relax and, more importantly, spend time with their respective families.

Also, I feel that the creative process works best under a limited stress situation, so perhaps when the band is enjoying their time off, they'll get some ideas for amazing songs. You can't rush or force greatness. The best product will emerge when the process is left to run on its own course.

As for an arena tour, I really hope they do plan one, but after having gone to my first U2 gig this summer (Anaheim 2), I don't think there's any rush for them to hit the road again any time soon.

Interestingly, I had it from a very reliable source who had it from Dallas that they're planning to tour again in 2 years, which would fit it with your source.

But...we all know that what is planned now may have very little to do with what happens in two years time.
  4. Dallas also said they were going to play Staring at the sun

  5. As we were just observing elsewhere - Dallas is a huge troll. I still blame him for the Dirty Day incident in Brisbane.
  6. Dirty Day would've been so cool on this stage.
  7. Dirty Day would be cool on top of a cardboard box.

  8. By the way, Dirty Day wasn't played by Dallas. The Sydney version was played on the PA.

  9. I almost forgot about the Dirty Day incident...thank you for bringing all that disappointment flooding back
  10. especially cause i was at both those brisbane shows where i was aroused at the thought of hearing one of my all-time favourite u2 songs live.. but no.. i was so so so excited

    Wait, what?
Anyone care to elaborate for me?
