    While I appreciate what you're saying, I don't think anyone from 40 years on will recommend anything remotely close to MOS or TCB

  8. IMO the answer to this thread depends on the kind of person you ask to. For the general audience I'd say most people will say Beautiful Day or Vertigo because people tend to associate "hit" with "better" (mostly because they don't know any others!). While true fans (of any band) actually know that hits ain't usually the better songs from their catalogue. The Crystal Ballroom? What a fantastic tune! BUT do you think anyone outside the U2 hardcore fans circle will remember about it in 3 decades from now, when the band is well retired? No way.

  10. Remembered by whom? I doubt anyone outside U2 fans even know it exists. Beautiful Day and Vertigo are the two that will be remembered.
