Put something up on the screen that fits thematically. Unforgettable Fire for example. Have something with a nuclear bomb going off when Larry hits his drums in the mid section, with a flash and image. Enhances an already great song. I'm just saying they should do something more for A song in this section. I guess that is controversial. Sorry.
Im not saying they couldn’t or shouldn’t put visuals up. TUF probably would be a good shout in particular to have fancy visuals for. I don’t think your view is controversial at all. I prefer to focus on the positives of last night but I don’t think your criticism has been particularly harsh on the band and even if I did think it was harsh who am I to tell you otherwise. All I was getting at is the positives of last night seem to outweigh any negatives and that’s me looking at the wide picture not just my preference but I might be wrong.

What I recall from the mixlr last night is that before TUF, Bono said something about Tokyo being very impressive for someone in his twenties... Perhaps the video is already in the making...
  3. The screen kills spontaneity so I can’t conplain if the visuals are dull when they decide to add a new sequence. We know they have been rehearsing this sequence for weeks so on the flip side you would imagine the creative team would have had visuals to go along with it. Who knows.

Still trying out new sequences this far into the announced shows suggests they were either really under prepared or they are working on new angles to bring the tour onward into new territories in 2019.
  4. Don't know if aomebody has said it already but lack of visuals may be a clue that this is a one off setlist.
I hope not. If it becomes a night 2 regular it will be great.

Is Bono able to play guitar yet? Don't think i've heard anything about it!

RFD needs to come back though!

I highly doubt it, they said at the time it would be clear within about a year if his nerves would grow back sufficiently to do play the guitar and we're well past that now...

Hmmm. Here starts the big propaganda machine again. Bono is tired. Adam says they keep going. Trump says everythings fantastic. Everything you know is wrong.
