1. For me nothing beats Red Rocks. If you think that they had nothing to help them to make a show (screens, video effects, backing tracks...). I am still amazed when I watch that phenomenal performance (please u2.com, nobody gives a s**t if the videocameras malfunctioned during I Fall Down... just give that song to us it's a brilliant version!). Sydney, Slane and Berlin (and the live part of Rattle & Hum) all gravitate around the 2nd place in my personal ranking. One day it's one, one day it's another, you know...

Red Rocks is the concert of passion and energy.
but in the form aspect there is nothing interesting!
they are 4 boys who start to plant a big tree in the desert!
  3. Has anybody a rumour when will be come the DVD?
Next week will be May and i'm bit confused when will be getting it, hopefully very soon, to be realistic in mid-July.

I have the livestream, and it sees and sounds effin good, just for curiousity what quality it will be hading the DVD and has just Dolby and/or DTS 5.1 too?
I would love too seeing this just for once.
Hoping it will be better than the Paris 2015 DVD, but just hoping.
I'm sure that has just only Dolby 5.1 sound, Rose Bowl has both Dolby and DTS and that's much more better, but Slane is unbeatable the DTS sounds like it's taken from Bono's IEM and Sydney too :O
Both are very incredible and my all time favourites as of many amongst of us.

I think all the DVDs aside from Paris 2015 and Boston 2001 has only Dolby.

Hoping for some more information for the new DVD in the next week(s)!

They announced it would start shipping in May. But that was before the current virus issues affecting the whole world. Live Nation who deals with the fan club had even shut down their phone lines and had posted a note they weren't answering emails in a timely manner for a while. They've taken those warnings off the page now, but I would suspect this one will not be on time. I just wouldn't expect it right now.

Once they do start shipping it, it generally takes them about six months to fill all subscription orders. And they still haven't filled a large number of the 2019 gifts yet. That one is still being said to be backordered when people call and inquire...

Thank you for the quick reply @u2wanderer1

I had saw something on your site that the release date should be really in May.
Maybe they have planned something that it had been tied on Bono's 60th birthday, just little a thought.
That was back in the end of January, and we have now the stream in 4K.
Can you confirm that the band something planned more better sound in the stream?
It was just an only standard mix or they had a Dolby 5.1 like?
Just for curiosity, I love their sound mixes as I wroted.
I read that here in the topic it was in just an AAC format and I think one of them was 125Kbps the other was 512Kbps(?).
    Correct me if i'm wrong.
    Thank you.

It had nothing to do with Bono's birthday. It was just when they expected the DVDs would be ready. They wouldn't try to tie that into a special day because they take a number of months to get these out to everyone.

Not sure on the sound. Probably will have to wait until they start shipping to know that unless the folks at U2.com share before then.

    Hmm
Just waiting for the official confirmation, maybe they have some bonuses like in the Paris 2015 DVD.
Hoping for the Dirty Day visuals
It such was an amazing like the Cedarwood Road one back then.
But I hope Gavin Friday will be not narrating it in this time.
  8. Bonuses in DVD quality :/
  9. I couldn't get into the Paris 2015 show and haven't seen the e+i broadcast. Zootv in Sydnay was my least favorite, I just cant stand the way the drums sound.
  10. Daddy's snare?
