1. Yes it’s a fresh news that maybe San Siro will be put down....very sad news.
    Hoping it will not happen
    It’s a temple for us

  2. This wasn't part of the DVD but was on fanclub release "U2 communication" still can't get my head around why they felt the need to play this song twice every night.
  3. Wasn't every show but yes, an odd decision (they must have REALLY liked the song). As on the Vertigo tour the band were doing a lot of early stuff, I guess doing the same song twice either end of a set harked back to their club days? That's my two pence thrown in anyway.
  4. I agree, club show vibe and also one in daylight and the other in the dark for the Euro shows.
  5. I think it's pretty cool they did that. Sort of an homage to the days they did not have enough songs and thus played songs twice (11 o'clock if I remember it right?). I always prefer them to end the shows with a rocker, unfortunately U2 seems to like closing with a slow song.
  6. Dublin 6/25 started & ended with it, which was cool just as an open-air 4 piece, and then ended with the bells & whistles.

Yes, that was the case. They were asked about it back in the Vertigo days.
  8. Also in Amsterdam
  9. Simply because in Europe when they used to open with Vertigo, still there was daylight. So to give the full effect of Vertigo with all the lights and screen resolution, Vertigo used to get its second turn.

Didn't think of that, that would make sense.

There were stadiums with rooves. They still played it twice at those.

It's because of the early days thing.

If that's the case they should have just played it at the end, ok there are certainly other songs that you wouldn't want to hear twice during a gig so it wasn't such a bad thing that they played Vertigo twice .
