1. I wonder if they'll fix up the stuff up from the edge towards the end of Sunday bloody sunday...
  2. I don't think they will do anything, they will just "rip" the audio from what they already have for dvd and go ahead to pressing plant, this is a cash-grab not a new release.
  3. While I think the Boston DVD is a good show, especially thanks to the amazing The Fly rendition, I think in terms of editing quality it's pretty awful for one simple reason :
There are a lot of instances where the video used is from a different time than the audio being played. This could be a non-issue... If it wasn't extremly noticeable by just watching what the band is playing visually. The Fly here is the worst offender. There are a lot of shots of Edge during the solo where his left hand is nowhere near where it should be for what he's playing. And right after the last beat of the song, there's a shot of Larry still drumming as if it had not ended yet.

Makes me think that the director/editor just thought "people are stupid, they won't notice"
  4. Or when an audience member throws something at Bono at the start of SBS and he flips them.

I watched the Boston DVD for like a 1000 times. Never, ever, payed any attention to the stuff you are pointing out right now. So I guess I'm a stupid guy. Hahaha.

On the other hand I still ask myself why they released the movie in the first place. In the documentary the voice over points out that some nights have it all. But that night wasn't one of them.

I know it's not the reason why this topic is alive. But that makes it even more debatable why they are releasing this show, again..
  6. Take Gone where the guitar is changing it's colors (red to black) couple of times, take noticable omission of One where you can see in one shot there is a screen that showed buffalo video and miliseconds later there is no screen ... Bono Cam shots from night 4 oftern show him at the tip of the heart but when we see him ... his just started to walk on the catwalk... there are many many errors like that ... but nevermind the cut songs (shame!) it's really good for Hamish standards... just look how he butchered Chicago, Boston is SO SO MUCH BETTER
  7. U2 DVD continuity errors sounds like a great thread. Somebody go create it and let’s get anal.
  8. Slane with Edge and Bono on the daylight, then next shot the sky is pitch black wins hands down.
  9. Same show in Streets, "The city's a flood" verse, Bono magically goes from singing at the mic stand to having the mic in his hand at the front of the stage, then back at the stand again.
  10. There's tonnes of them on the Rose Bowl DVD - one in particular showing Edge not playing at all but there's notes.

There are loads in the Boston DVD, especially during The Fly believe it or not.

They could have gone back to the tapes and done a remix, we don't know.
  12. I remember watching the Slane dvd not to long ago, at one point Bono’s on the stage with the rest of the band and then he’s somewhere else entirely. I think it was during where the streets have no name.
