1. I do prefer almost every song live to the album version. However the 3 songs that I don't think have matched the studio version are all from JT.

    Streets
    ISHFWILF
    WOWY

As awesome as some of the live peformances have been, if I had to pick one version to listen to for the rest of my life it would be the album one. For me, I cannot think of any other songs I feel that way about.
  2. @mofothethird just posted this on our whatsapp group and it's worth an inclusion here.

  3. Recorded a quick bass take alongside We Are The People. Playing in normal stereo against my own 3D mix (lowered in volume). It's not flawless and just for fun:

  4. And tried City Of Blinding Lights.. Man, this song is a lot tougher than I thought, a proper workout. My view on Adam has changed, it sounds simple until you start to play it I'm 70/30 in the mix, playing against a 3d mix lowered in volume (on a Warwick Bass with plectrum):

Nice one! COBL is often overlooked but it's one of the hardest songs to play on bass AND guitar in my opinion. You did a nice work there (not too sure about the 3D effect in this song though).

I can mix it against the regular version if you want, haha Bass isn't 3D though, it's just me playing through that mix. Actually the same as with your cover version of The Fly

Oh, and agree about difficulty. Wouldn't dare to try this on guitar (yet)

  7. he does a very good job !!!
  8. Not bad at all, indeed. It's not easy to make these songs sound good with an acoustic guitar. That was one nice 10 song set, kinda like what you'd hear in a U2-dedicated busker set in Temple Bar, Dublin.

Beautiful Day (very interesting, very different)
    Bad (normal)
    Pride (improvised, mediocre)
A Sort Of Homecoming (very good)
In God's Country (pretty good, even including a solo)
With Or Without You (pretty good)
New Year's Day (very good, clever use of the looper, extra points for the "maybe the time is right" verse)
    Stay (decent)
Running To Stand Still (very different, nice)
    One (predictable but flawless)
