1. Yes, they did. They got the idea from Bob Dylan.
  2. Ok now it's getting out of hand

  3. My signed splatter vinyl arrived. Each member signed it with their favourite lyric from the album.

  4. That's a cool way to sign an album. Nice touch.

    'Bitch'
  5. I always do it when Banquet Records offer custom signatures for artists I'm interested in. I ask the band to sign their favourite lyric from the album they are releasing.
  6. I like the band but man their Fandom is cringe to maximize level
  7. Of course he did but these Inhaler fans insist Eli did it on his own without his dad

  8. Depends what part of the fandom. The U2 part - yes it's cringe. The normal younger generation who found the band by themselves and who have no idea who U2 are - not cringe.
  9. The kids and I have been listening to the album no stop for the past week or so.

It's *pretty good*: fresh, up tempo, lots of hooks, two or three more mature numbers in the second half. Excellently produced.

The band is tight. Hewson jr has a great distinctive voice and sings really well, even though - live - he's less in tune than his dad (and even though Bono's voice is, well, something else). But who cares. It's a superb debut album. They're standing squarely on their feet.

What's the word on the U2 street on this album?

It's nice, fresh and powerful. Very well produced too.

I'm just pissed that none of us would be listening to it if it wasn't for the Elijah's connection, and it's unfair towards a million of other (better) bands that are born, live and die without a fraction of the recognition just because they don't have a famous member among them. It's just that. I'm perfectly aware that meritocracy is not the norm and connections and pulling strings is very common, but... That's how I feel.

Yes, good point - I fully agree. I'm sure there's lots of great new bands out there...
