1. Honestly I don't care how well or not the songs were performed. I won't even listen to the performance, I think, as it was done for the people there.

They went there to perform. That's the important thing for me.
  2. The acoustic songs are not my cup of tea. My own opinion on this. It somehow doesn't fit with U2 in terms of style. It may be good in concert as a quiet song, but it's nothing for a new edition of old songs, played acoustically, because we know the songs. Bono's voice also continued to change after 2019. Even lower instead of higher. He tries to sing high but can't. I don't think anything will happen with the acoustic songs, they'll rather tweak it with programs and equalizers.
  3. Does anyone have a video of acoustic Pride (live from Ukraine)?
  4. Murph rockin' the bulletproof

I think he sang WOWY's higher part better than most of the versions since the 90s in this acoustic version.

Pride have been played a bit different once before, in Boston 2004-07-27.
It was performed with a Symphony Orchestra with Bono solo.
  7. For things like this, it's nice to see them out for a cause they believe in. I'm not sure a performance from a Bomb Shelter is what I would have done, but they are being U2 or half of U2, which I can't believe people are even complaining about it. They have done tons of things without Adam & Larry. As for the critics of their politics, they won't stop complaining. This is what you get with U2, and if you haven't figured it out by now, you really, really need to google intelligence or something
And for those all upset about the next album. At this point, all 4 are over 60, so I pretty much no longer have expectations. 90% of the artists I listen to are either legacy acts or are no longer alive(Prince, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Queen, Nirvana, etc). U2 are in my mind a legacy act, which now is fine. I used to complain when they dropped Breathe and others off of 360, but turning 360 into a hits tour was one step there. Releasing only 3 albums since 2004 is pretty much the nail in the legacy coffin. But it's ok. Anything we get from here is pretty much extra cheese on the pizza.
So now I am publicly announcing my expectations for the band are ZERO. Should they exceed those expectations, great. If not, ok. I still may bitch about what they do with their archived material, or fan club releases, etc. I care less and less each day, but can say my life was blessed to be alive when they were. My Tampa 1987 JT first show was amazing, and will be one of my most cherished childhood memories. Thanks U2!
  8. They always do acoustic stuff like this for politics. Clinton library, Clinton birthday, 2017 Canada. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- I really don’t care for an acoustic album with “politically aware” lyrics. It’s just putting off the actual next album. I agree they’re past their prime and JT17 was the final straw of them becoming a legacy act. Now that doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy future music or tours.
