  8. No it’s unlikely because We Are the People was released and was a finished song, and heavily promoted. This was an unfinished demo that they went back to when creating Iris.
  9. As i understood was 'We are the people' not even written by U2, but by Martin Garrix. Bono only made some changes in the lyrics, so it's co-written at best. And it's certainly not written/demo/recorded before 2019.

    Yeah Garrix had the music and the lyrics done when he approached Bono. The Edge contributed a new guitar riff and Bono rewrote some of the lyrics, but overall it’s more a Garrix song than anything. Although I do quite like it.

    Garrix also worked with U2 on “Your Song Saved May Life” for those wanting to know what a U2 song with Garrix might sound like

    I’d probably like to hear more of Garrix with u2 then. Both songs I really liked. This recent song leak is alright, one I can add to the SOI alternative version mix which is a full album long itself now.
