  1. Berlin was fantastic!!!!
  2. After last night's show I briefly spoke to two guys who had also been to Dublin and thought that the Berlin crowd was much better, more lively and singing louder.

I thought it was great, really great, so intimate, touching and also funny. Bono has great timing when telling the stories.
During the songs, it often felt that the place was about to explode - especially during Streets. But of course it wasn't a concert - they just found the right mix of theatrical production and concert, imho.
I would have opted for a more chronological storyline, but who am I?

It's a shame that a few seats, although sold, remained empty, most of them in the upper tier.
In a small venue like this, this should not happen.

Could not agree more. It was absolutely awesome? However, I was thinking the same - the chrnological storyline was weird, at least to me. Also, the total highlight WOWY was played like within the first 10 min of th show. Deserved to be at the end.
Overall ot was really great, just weird chronology.

Wait, is it OK to sing? Really?
  5. That’s more a fault of the book than the show with its wired running order. A little bit jumbled at times.

Parts of the show do tease. If they’d let I Will Follow run through I’m sure the roof would have come off.
  6. Absolutely, although in Manchester when the audience started to get involved with WOWY he made motions to keep us quiet. Everything else was fair game though. There are some obvious candidates where Bono actively offered the microphone to the audience, encouraging a sing song.
  7. I agree, the Berlin show was an incredible experience. It was very moving, funny and the whole experience wasn't at all what I was expecting, a big surprise. I grew up in the same neighbourhood so it is always emotional to hear those stories around Cedarwood Road. An immense show and in fine voice. I waited around before and after the show but no luck. Did anybody manage to meet him in Berlin.
  8. Oh yea he plays the crowd like a fiddle at times and it can feel like a small gig during a few particular moments.

I thought the Dublin crowd were excellent, especially for a Monday night and with quite a bit of capacity eaten up with special guests and their entourages. I would anticipate that only a few hundred tickets were actually sold for Dublin based on how many people were wearing Access All Areas passes. The Berlin venue was also 50% larger.

It is a weird show though. It does take a few songs before it’s obvious that Bono is inviting the crowd participation.

Nope waited as well, but no luck. The only “sad” thing about the over all amazing experience. Really wanted to get my JT album signed. Maybe some next time

Ohhh nice. I thought it was mostly a "keep quiet at all times" kinda event.
  12. As had I. At a certain point in the show you can feel the shift from theatre to gig. You can sense it from Bono too. You are in for a treat. I was almost moved to tears twice and just sat smiling ear to ear for the whole thing.

Quite the turnaround for one someone as jaded as I have been for some years now.
