    Bruh wtf
  2. There will always be some poor rendition of among reimagined 40 songs..... That doesn't mean the whole album is bad. But British critics will want to make you believe that it's the worst album of all-time. So, f---k off the British critics

Bad take after bad take. Holy shit. Borderline trolling at this point
  4. Oh my goodness...what should I say ?

I have listened to all the songs from SOS (90 seconds from every song - Apple Music). This is just bad and boring...it must be a joke !!! I am a fan since 1987, was on 93 U2 shows, I have spent so much money in travelling to see U2 live and collecting bootlegs, videos and merchandise. I am lucky to say, that I met U2 in their studio in Dublin in 1999...a great memory.

But today is a very sad day for me. Bono´s voice is gone, the arrangements are ridiculous (sometimes it sounds like a cheap plastic keyboard in the background), what have they done with these songs ? "Desire"...just a joke...is´nt it ? "Bad" (Bad is a century-masterpiece especially live) but here...no words !!! The Fly...a beginners cover band ? Every Song is crap imo...

Everyone who wants can listen to it, can love it, can like it, can buy it, that is ok for me...but my journey ends here and today. I am just speechless, yes maybe I am old and not modern enough, but this can not be serious.

I respect all other opinions and I will be fine with this, this one here is just my personal view.

    Warm greetings from Germany
  5. Ok, I've just gave it a listen.... From the 40 songs, 10 are good. They should put 10 songs on one cd as a subscribers gift, then everybody should be fine with it
  6. so a 25% hit rate
  7. so i take it none of these songs will be played live by U2 - only the promo stuff with bono and edge - and the music is so insipid that it meanders from elevator music to like a coffee table book to flick through

how many of us - bar tristan - are going to give it more than a couple of listens?

waste of everyone's time when they could be at least trying to write some new songs

someone said on here that billy joel gave up because he couldn't find the motivation but surely life is the motivation - feelings, age, death, sorrow, sons, daughter, love, lovers: they all don't stop happening to you when you get older

in fact, i would love a downbeat album full of remorse and morbidity - it'd be something that's a mix of dirty day and love is blindness

    it would be epic
  8. my concern is they start using some of these SOS versions in live settings instead of the originals. Thats how far the plot has been lost

Not even giving it 1 listen. The few snippets I heard were enough. Massacring their own legacy basically.
