1. There’s too much breathy, shitty falsetto on this album. If you’re gonna sing in falsetto, do it right and keep breath support under it and keep it energized, like on Lemon. Not like the stuff that appears on this project.

I told him to listen to Vertigo and then stop…he didn’t listen.
Lol as if Eddie Vedder’s vocals these days are any kind of bar to meet.

They give U2 five stars only because compared to U2, 99% other music artists emerging in the last 25 years are pathetic. So, in comparison to others' albums, U2's everything is 5 stars to RS.

Dude u have no idea what ur talking about , that much is pretty clear !
  4. Disney Special is good and of course with U2 the live versions of these songs are really good. Much better than the recordings on SOS.
  5. Several of these recordings under deliver, but I'm enjoying SoS quite a bit more than I expected so far. Definitely a nice headphone experience.

Dude, believe me when I say you’d do well to leave the U2 bubble once in a while…there are tons and tons of great albums/artists that have come out since 1998 - including many that I’d say have superseded U2’s output within that timeframe…
  7. Fans: They really need to stop chasing after relevance and just release a passion project.

    U2: Okay.

    Fans: NO, not like THAT!

Haven’t made it all the way through, but overall I’m enjoying it. Definitely highs and lows, but across forty tracks I had expected that. I would’ve preferred more reimaginings, and I really could’ve done without another version of EBW and Ordinary Love, but it’s quite pleasant listening. And Bono’s falsetto is probably the best it’s been in twenty years!
  8. I’d be all for some of the curveball creativity when they are throwing together new original songs.

What’s are the odds that they revert to playing safe when new new album time comes around?

What does your heart tell you
  10. Is this the most promotion they’ve ever done for an album? The last 2 seemed to have missed all the radio performances and billboards all around the world + tv documentaries and hour long interviews
  11. Sad things.

BUT, if we are entering a new phase of Bono’s vocals and they have somehow enjoyed this process with less reliance on multiple producers etc etc then maybe they will take some of this forward into a new record. That would excite me.
