  1. Just watched this. I did get emotional at certain moments. It was a bit all over the place, but I enjoyed it. I love this band.

    I do think it’s interesting how the songs that made it into this film make more sense in this context and are perhaps a bit better thought out than some of the other reworked versions.

    Yes.... It is the best U2 related documentary ever !! Even better than From the Sky Down.
  3. The end of EBW was very stirring in a good way. Loved it!
  4. Its not really a U2 documentary though is it.
  5. First off, bloody long time. Wonder how many of the ogs are still around (likeasong, Wohj, Remi, anstrat?) hello hellooooo haha

    Second, this was mid, however, that acoustic version of bad is something else. Haven’t stopped listening since.
  6. Well, not only is 'A Sort of Homecoming' not really a U2 documentary (it's just Bono & The Edge), but it is also a bit all over the place with some history of Ireland, the performances at the Ambassador, Letterman's... jokes (?) and interview bits. It wasn't that coherent imo; that being said, it was really really lovely overall. And since you brought it up, imo, From the sky down is an outstanding U2 documentary.

    Oh, wow! Another very welcome return

    Harry ( @WojBhoy ) came back a few days ago: https://u2start.com/topic/by-post/988729/

    @Remy is obviously still around

    Jeff ( @anstratdubh1979 ) isn't around anymore since a long time ago, but he's pretty active in the U2 Guitarists facebook group that I sent you years ago, I talk to him regularly.

    And dont believe what you hear, don't believe what you see: @likeasong isn't around anymore either!
  8. Bono, The Edge, David Letterman and Glen Hansard. A much better lineup that those random Adam and Larry blokes that no-one cares about.

    continuing to float about indeed, and endeavouring to be about when I can notwithstanding my admittedly erratic ways when the internet is concerned.

    Also posting in this thread is a reminder that I've still not watched the special, that's possibly my evening sorted...
  10. Get it down ya.
