Notes:
Because of the higher security-level in Brussels I did doubt the days before to do recording. It did even cross
my mind to leave all the gear at home. But after some tactical thinking i did go for it and all went VERY easy.
Nopes, no bomb package in my camerabag. Top security in BXL wow ;-p
At the beginning I was struggling with the wires from the OKM-mikes, thats why the intro of waterboys is fading in.
You can hear some corrections on the left/right channels but i managed these quite acceptable.
I know, it's time to replace my old OKMiiRock-mikes and A3-filter because those have bin to a hell since I
bought them (see my previous torrent).
I was doing a statue-setup, mikes hanging on shoulders & wires wrapped between my Jeansjacket, TCD-D100 and filter
inside my jacket. looks like you listening to your walkman.
Next to me (right) were all invited Celebrities. Those were on the Vip-stage right in front of the mixing desks.
Behind me, up in the back was Smasher (salute the Belgian man).
Can anybody tell me why Anton Corbijn sticks his fingers in his ears when Beautifull Day was playing?
He left right just before Elevation started. Was a bit strange to see that happen while Walter Vanbeirendonck and the
others kept enjoying the show. Again, back like in 2005 there is a bass blasting effect during Beautifull Day,
now this blasting bass was a bit less and might have to do with 90 degrees angle turn of the stage. If you haven't
heard that check my recording from allmost 12 years ago.
Further on i had no problems with recording, not even with a fat security-guy next to me who didn't notice the mikes.
As Bono several time mentioned Belgium and the history U2 had there i did choose the name of this recording.
I hope you all enjoy the recording and i'm looking forward to do a next recording.
